Clucks for Biggers
-
So each section is finally filling out. Still tightening up the graphics, but I can actually see this site getting finished. I just need to make a good way of displaying the larger images and projects, fix the loading animations and the transitions, then the machine will be rolling.

Doze Green. Ken Swift. Rocksteady

-
Pretty decent Bboy sesh with Doze and some other Rocksteady Crew members, Ken Swift as always is the man. I saw him dance in Copenhagen in about 97/98, when he was destroying Europe on a comeback tour, nothing I've seen since really compares and he still innovates now. There's also a wee studio visit with Doze here. Master Craftsmen.

So I added some details to flesh out the background and will also have some bits that can change at random, to keep the design looking a wee bit different. Should be finished by the end of the world. Old Sketch.
When the site finally is finished the blog will have a bit of a makeover too, I need to upgrade the template and add a labelling system, matching the graphics to the site design and adding a lighhtbox function so the images don't pop-up anymore.

Been busy the last couple of weeks with the Recoat gang which has been great and super inspiring, been trying to get onto doing some new paintings straight away, slacked off a bit on painting last year, so hopefully can get a few done whilst it's still raining outside.
The L Seat drawing is an attempt to mix the characters with the new mechanical looking letters I've been doing.

Also some flicks from Recoat here.

New work for the New Faces show at Recoat, been working on the mural with Mr Fist, Sirkus and Conzo, think it should be pretty mental in the end.

As well as being work for the show, Iain Laurie and myself, along with Fraser Campbell doing the stories will be making a comic based on the Kukeri too, hopefully in the next few months.

Snows over.

So the snows melting, what will people have to moan about now? If you watched the news the last few days, you'd think the world was about to end. Here's the wee lad adventuring into the snow before he rocked the sledge.

Shorpy - The Xmas Party

-
As an image addicted loonie, I often find giant photo libraries and trawl through them. I found loads over the years, one of my favourites is the split-screen Australian mugshot photos. But the Shorpy sets are pretty interesting, have a look at em. But beware the site contains nostalgia.

Monster Cop

-
Monster Cop was a comic I drew at primary school, (so maybe 1985ish), it's terrible, a mix of Ratfink, Robocop, ninja films and a lot of B-movie cop films. The main character looking like a monster was never explained, obviously it would be something toxic.
-
It was part of an exercise to get us to use BBC Micro Computers to write little story books, I did a little typing but ended up drawing the stories instead. I made Monster Cop 2 also, where he teams up with Robocop, which is a bit better, I never finished part 3 where he goes to 'Nam.

Will post more crap drawings soon. Notice the Robocop style letters that have recently made a comeback in graffiti.
Uzi's were the ultimate cool gun in the 80's obviously, apart from the Gatlin gun that Jesse Ventura had in predator.

Been getting into using the brush pen I got for chrimbos, cheers missus Elph. I am a stationery geek, but the Pentel Brush Pen is a topper, it holds it's point really well and as you can see from the scale it can go really detailed.

Just over a week to go to the show at Pageant, still have a fair bit to do, Lyken made a tune which is tops, I just have to make a 2 level platform game by then, he he.

No hangover today which was a bonus, started a quick painting and finished at the stage above, it's all painted apart from the text. It's a bit dark but really I was testing the paper to see if would cave in under the paint, but it never so that was good.
-
Last year I never really produced many paintings, so hopefully this year I can!
-
Might have a Tuborg.
