Rocking Chair Across Russia

-
Ronald Searle is a guy who's work I think is amazing, I saw a copy of one of his books the other day and missed it, but found this whilst looking for some Bilibin. The illustrations in Rocking Chair across Russia rule. He is the master of the squiqqly line. It also has a feature story called Burns night in Moscow.

Have to agree, mate. Searle is the man. You can see his influence a lot in Ralph Steadman. Remind me to show you the really rare Searle book Ive got in the house.

Have a look for Victor Ambrus, especially his illustrations from the 60's/70's lots of super saturated colours and super sensitive lines :)

The museum's digital conservation team is now trying to secure copies of the game, they were told they were going to take part in a separate food tasting study.
