This was my Batman version, messed up the left leg but couldn't seem to fix it. Oh well. Quite happy with the colouring, going to try more in this style, maybe not quite so dark. I thought the new Batman film was pretty good, wasn't as good as Hellboy 2.
This image could have been drawn today, but was first published in 1968, his friends thought it was a bit extreme, even silly, how wrong they were. You can see more of his political cartoons here but also check his site, it has some of his concept work for films like Back to the Future.
Click for Bigger Was working on this in Photaeshop and something went weird, which was good, here's a grab of the screen. Also found a site that corrupts your images for you, it's great, they go all funny colours. But cannae find the link just now.
This was today's attempt at a walk cycle, pretty lazy, only 4 frames and it looks like he's maybe going backwards, but it was good to do something in colour. I liked the bobby head. Going to try some type next I reckon.
A slightly cruder animation than fridays, but quicker, this is only 4 drawings repeated, the poses completely referenced from Richard Williams book 'The Animators Survival Kit', he was the head animator on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Hopefully from reading tht book I'll be able to put up a walkcycle of one of my characters, but that might take a while to get to look good. Although the drawings below only took 10 mins, it's fun to see them move.
This animation is 30 frames drawn individually and then repeated to make it loop. Took 4 and a half hours, seemed quite quick at the start, but it never is. Hopefully will be doing some more stuff like this, just need to get quicker!
