Recoat painting/opening.

Seen as I am crap at taking any photos, you'd be best to go over to the Recoat Flickr to see some more detailed shots of the show.
Things went pretty good I think. Thanks to everyone that made it down from Glasgow, Edinburgh and even Dundee! was good to see a few old faces.
I'll post some pics on the Flickr at some point this week, meantime check these oot.
Click the thumbnails for bigger versions.

Before the exhibition Roule, Syrkus and myself painted this wall at the Glasgow School of Art too.

Recoat Next Week. Flyers

Recoat flyers

Got the flyers for the Recoat Show today, came oot nae bad, the only problem is having 5000 of them!
Still got a few paintings to finish afore next week, but should be okay. Just lots of framing to get done for next friday.
Free rum courtesy of Sailor Jerry, cheers to Ali for doing the back of the flyer.
There are some sneak peaks over one the Recoat Flickr but I don't know if that's like watching a spoiler before the show starts.

Bw Sketchbook Zine for Recoat Show

BW Sketchbook
Just finished putting together this little booklet, it's 28 pages, photocopied. It's for the show at Recoat, with a bit of print help from the folks at Analogue.
It should be ready back from the printshop early next week, so I'll say when it's available on the blog.It has a lot of the sketches I used for the paintings in the exhibition and some outlines for pieces.

Although the stamp looks a bit like some old mummies ear, it came out not to bad, took a while to cut oot, not the best print but it was an experiment, the silver is sprinkled over a glue printed on the paper from the stamp, this is then heated up over a flame to make it bubble up the way it looks above. Like a cheap wax seal.

The Machine Girl

Nice and mellow... Looks insane. I especially like the flying guillotine.
Will hopefully post up some new drawings soon, been working a lot on the show in Glasgow, not long to go noo.
It's sponsored by Sailor Jerry Rum which is good.
