Apple, shorts, socks and comics

girl with chequered socks

Recent doodle, slowly working together some ideas for paintings for the show in Glasgow, even finished one!
Going to try and learn a bit about glazing with oils (that's how rock and roll mental I'm getting these days).
I've been checking a lot of comic book podcasts and interviews whilst working, it's a good way to find out about comics, you know for that moment at the dinner party when you have to talk about what's happening in Civil War by Marvel, often that really kicks off the party and people go nuts like at the end of Footloose with Kevin Bacon.
So far the best sites have been Fan Boy Radio which is a bit more mainstream and Indie Spinner Rack which deals with the indie comics, which I always preferred as a youngster because the drawings were weirder.
One podcast worth checking ooot is the Paul Pope one on comic Geek Speak. It's pretty in depth.
More comics Ian Laurie has a new comic blog plus his collaborative comic with Fraser Campbell Black Cape is fucking hilarious in a morbid depressing out of work super heroes wetting themselves sort of way.
The comics now been taken on by WASTED a new comic edited by ALAN GRANT(2000AD) and JAMIE GRANT(We3,2000AD) plus cover editor FRANK QUITELY which is bingo. On ye go Ian!

Cheers for the big up on your blog.I'd also recommend my favourite comic blog Word Balloon, which sounds a bit like Walter Matthau interviewing famous comic folk. Its dead good.

So when are we going to see some Elph comics then??
